Want to have a hand in shaping the next SnB season? Interested in the bigger picture and a greater leadership role in the friendship company? Then joining the Board of Executives might be for you!
The Board is made up of various positions, each with its own responsibilities that in addition to general duties help the Board and the company run smoothly. To see where you may fit in, here is an overview of the positions that we will be looking to fill next season. Please remember that when applying to the Board, you are applying as a General Board Member and not to a specific position. Applications for each position will be completed after your initial Board acceptance.

External Coordinator: Organizes volunteer opportunities for the community
Production Coordinator: Assists production teams in buying props/costume/set pieces for the show and coordinates their needs with their respective theatre
Events & Accessibility Coordinator: Plan and oversees all events for the community and works towards improving Sock ‘n’ Buskin’s accessibility
Webmaster: Keeps the website up-to-date with audition and show information, organizes merch sales and ticket sales
MARKETING TEAM
Social Media Coordinator: Updates all of Sock ‘n’ Buskin’s social media accounts accordingly, including promotion for all shows and events
Outreach Coordinator: Helps develop new marketing initiatives, works on developing relationships with other clubs and theatre companies, obtains media coverage for shows and manages the blog
If you feel that you are well suited to fulfill one of the aforementioned roles, apply to join us! In Board applicants, we are looking for people who are effective communicators, self-motivated, proactive workers, excellent time managers, and above all else positive leaders in whom community members can confide and trust with any and all questions and concerns.
Simply fill out the application form outlining why you’d like to be on the Board and what relevant experiences you have that pertain to the role, and clear your schedule for virtual Board interviews on Saturday, March 20, 2021. Interviews will be ongoing all day and will consist of a 5min speech before the current Board, followed by a question period during which current board members can get to know you better and learn more about your strengths as a prospective Board member.
