AUDITION INFORMATION
Sign up for an audition for on Friday November 1st, or Saturday November 2nd by clicking on the button labelled AUDITION SIGN-UPS. (Please note that auditions on September 1st and 2nd, as well as the callbacks on Sunday September 3rd, will be in-person located on campus in Paterson Hall 114.
After successfully booking an audition, you will receive a confirmation email with further information about the location, date and time of your audition. If you are unable to find the email in your inbox, please check your junk or spam folders.
You may choose between two options for initial auditions: in-person or self-taped. There are a limited number of in-person time slots. If you are submitting a self-tape you don’t need to book an AUDITION TIME-SLOT, you only need to fill out the AUDITION INTAKE FORM.
PLEASE NOTE: That all auditioners will be sent an email to their provided email containing a link to a Google Form they must complete prior to their audition.
SELF TAPES ARE ACCEPTED FOR THIS SHOW.
The audition will consist of three parts.
First, please prepare a short comedic monologue. The monologue does not have to be memorized, but you should be comfortable delivering it.
Next, you will read for one character of your choosing. Audition sides for 9 different characters in Rumors, as well as character descriptions and additional context, are included below. It should be clear that you have prepared and rehearsed the character side.
Last, you will read for an additional character chosen by the director. You are encouraged to familiarize yourself with different character sides.
Creativity, physicality, and outside the box thinking in the audition is encouraged.
Self-taped auditions must be sent to snbtheatre@gmail.com by Friday November 1st at 11:59PM.
For self-tapes, please prepare a short comedic monologue and read for two different characters. You may choose to have someone else read the other characters’ lines or to entirely disregard those lines.
NOTE: Self tapes should NOT exceed 5-10 minutes.
Audition slots are 15 minutes long between 6PM and 9PM on Friday November 1st, and between 10AM and 5PM on Saturday November 2nd.
Audition slots are available on a first come, first served basis. Please arrive to your audition time slot 5–10 minutes early to fill out the audition form and review the scenes.
You will receive an email indicating whether or not you’re invited to callbacks the night of Saturday November 2nd.
Callbacks will be held on Sunday November 3rd, from 1PM and 5PM. If you are selected for a callback, the SnB team will be in contact with you via email with further information. With more information about callbacks being including within the email.
If you are unavailable or only partially available during the audition/callback time slots please email, snbtheatre@gmail.com ASAP with your availability, and we will try to accommodate you.
